The one aisle church of St. Peter was erected in the second half of the 14-th century and presumably was dedicated to the Holy Virgin. Arguments for this supposition are the frescos in the nave which are dedicated to the life of the Holy Virgin and on the south facade where the Akathistos is illustrated. In the rendering of the Akathistos, the historical scene of the Siege of Constantintinople in 626  is depicted for the first time, and likewise the portrayal of the Flight to Egypt which is rare in our territory.
