Macedonia is a biblical country with 992 churches. The city of Ohrid is known as “Macedonian Jerusalem”. There are three beautiful national parks and one of the oldest lakes in the World, Lake Ohrid. Day 1 - Skopje
“Welcome to Macedonia” - we will be waiting for your arrival at Skopje. Together we will depart to your hotel and you will have time for accommodation. You will have free time for exploring Skopje and shopping in the molls situated in the center of the city. Dinner in a national restaurant. Free time for a night walk through Skopje or party in a night club.

Day 2 - Skopje
After breakfast in hotel we will make tour through the Old Bazaar in Skopje (3,5 h). First we will visit Kale, fortress in Skopje dating from the time of Samuil, Macedonian medieval tsar from the IX- X century. We will visit the church “Holy Saviour” and it has amazing wooden iconostas made between 1819 and 1824. In the courtyard we will find the grave of Goce Delcev, the biggest Macedonian revolutionary from the end of the XIX century. We will also see Suli an and Kursumli an, the Museum Macedonia and Mustafa Pasa mosque. We will have lunch in a restaurant. We will visit Natural history museum and City museum in Skopje. After that the tour continues with Daut Pashin Amam where the Art gallery is situated. After that we will cross the Stone Bridge which is dates from the 15-th century and it is one of the symbols of Skopje. Lunch in a restaurant of the monastery “St Panteleimon” (10 km) and after lunch we will visit this monastery dating from 1164 year where we will see the fresco Lamentation of Christ considered forerunner of Italian renaissance. We will visit the ancient city Skupi (8 km) founded in the roman period in Macedonia and it was destroyed in the earthquake in 518. Dinner in a national restaurant.

Day 3 – Skopje – Tetovo – St. Yovan Bigorski - Ohrid
After breakfast in hotel we will leave the hotel. We will visit the canyon of river Treska, lake Matka and the church “St. Andrew” (17 km) made by younger brother of the king Marko in 1388/9 year. We will continue our tour to Leshok monastery (40 km). The monastery complex is a combination of two churches: St. Atanasij from 14-th century and St. Mother of God. In the yard of this church is the grave of Macedonian renaissance writer Kiril Pejcinovic. Lunch in the monastery restaurant. After that we will visit “the Alaja mosque” (The Decorated mosque) in Tetovo (12 km) which attracts a lot of tourists with its colored walls. After Tetovo we will travel to the National Park “Mavrovo” and visit the monastery “St. John At Bigor” (67 km) where you can see the gorgeous iconostases made by Petre Filipovic in 19-th century. After that we can see the Debar Lake. We will accommodate in a hotel in Ohrid (80 km). Dinner in a restaurant.

Day 4 - Ohrid
Breakfast in the hotel. Walk across the old part of the town. We will visit the church “Holy Virgin Peribleptos”. This church dates from 1295. I was erected by Progon Zgur - the cousin of the Byzantine czar Andronik II Paleolog. The frescoes inside the church are painted by the famous painters Mihail and Eutichios in 1295. In the yard of this church is the Gallery of icons with a lot of icons from the middle age. After that we will visit the ancient theatre (200 years before Christ) and the Samoil Fortress which was the capitol of the Macedonian middle age country. After that we will visit the fully reconstructed church “St. Panteleimon” in Plaosnik. This church was built in X century by St. Clement. Next destination is the monastery “St John the Theologian - Kaneo” dating from XIII century and from here you can enjoy the most beautiful view over the lake. We will have lunch in restaurant in the old town. Free time for individual activities and exploring Ohrid. Dinner in the restaurant.

Day 5 – Ohrid - Bitola
After breakfast in hotel we will visit the monastery “St. Naum” (27 km). We will have lunch in the monastery restaurant. Driving through national park Galicica and by the Prespa Lake. Arrival in Bitola (75 km) and accommodation in a hotel. You will have free time for shopping. Dinner in a national restaurant.

Day 6 – Bitola –Prilep
After breakfast in the hotel we will visit Heraklea - the ancient city built by the Macedonian king Filip II in the IV century B.C. Lunch in pizzeria. Our next stop will be the Museum of Bitola where existed the chamber consecrated to Kemal Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. He finished his high school in this city. Walk through Sirok Sokak “wide street” the famous street in Bitola where the most of the foreign consulates in 19-th century were situated. Next sightseeing will be the church “St. Demetrius” built in 1830 and very famous by its iconostas. After that we continue to Prilep (43 km). We will accommodate you in a hotel and dinner in a national restaurant.  

Day 7 – Prilep – Stobi – Strumica
After the breakfast in the hotel we will climb up to the fortress Markovi Kuli above Prilep, visit the church “Holy Archangels “ where we can see the portraits of Macedonian kings from XIV century Volkasin and Marko. We will do walking tour through the old part of Prilep and we will visit the Clock tower from 1858. We will have lunch in a national restaurant. We will continue our trip to Stobi (57 km) the biggest ancient Macedonian city. Baptistery is the main landmark of Stobi, but also Theodosian palace and Episcopal basilica. We will continue the journey and we will go to Strumica (93 km) and there we will accommodate. Dinner in a restaurant in the city center.

Day 8 – Strumica
After breakfast in restaurant we will visit the monastery “Holy Mother Merciful” in Veljusa (9km)dating from XI century. The most famous fresco here is “Jesus Christ Emanuel” Jesus as a 12 year old boy. The church “St Leonthius”(4 km) will be our next stop. The place is famous because of the blinding of the 14 000 Samuil’ s soldiers. We will have lunch in a national restaurant. We will visit the tallest waterfall in Macedonia with 38 meters, Smolare (32 km). After these moments of nature we will back in Strumica (27 km) and there we will have shopping and coffee in the biggest commercial centre in Macedonia “Global”. We will have dinner in restaurant.

Day 9 – Strumica – Berovo – Bargala -Vinica – Stip
We will have breakfast in hotel and then we will go for Berovo (48 km). We will visit monastery “St. Archangel Michael” and the artificial lake, Berovo. We will have lunch in a restaurant. We will continue our way to Vinica (40 km) where we will visit the Museum with its terracotta icons from Vinica’s Kale (Fortress)dating from the VI and VII century. We continue to Bargala (29 km) the ancient city and the church “St. George” from the IX century. We will go to Stip (16 km) to accommodate in a hotel. We will go in restaurant to taste the local pastrmajlija (meat pie).

Day 10 – Stip – Probistip – Kriva Palanka – Kumanovo – Skopje
We will have breakfast in hotel and we will continue our trip. The monastery “St. Gavril of Lesnovo” near Probistip (40 km)is our next sightseeing, which dates from 1341 and built by despot Jovan Oliver. We will continue with our minibus to the monastery “St Joakim of Osogovo” in Kriva Palanka (47 km), built by the famous Macedonian builder Andrej Damjanov in 1854/5 year. We will have lunch in the monastery restaurant. The church “St. George” in Staro Nagoricani (60 km) near Kumanovo built by Serbian king is outstanding church which dates from 1311. Here we will see good preserved iconostas and frescoes made by famous painters Mihail and Eutichius. Last place for sightseeing is megalithic observatory Kokino (17 km) dating from 1 800 B.C. In the late night hours will be in Skopje (70 km) and accommodate in hotel.

Day 11 – Skopje
We will have breakfast in the hotel. Check out. Free time for individual shoping or short sightseeing. Departure from Macedonia.
