Three national parks are here and two natural lakes, many artificial lakes make this area heavenly beautiful. Lake Ohrid is protected by UNESCO as one of the oldestlakes in the world. Ohrid and Prilep as cities are also protected by UNESCO. Here is the highest city on the Balkan, Krusevo, at 1250 m. hight. You will see many churches (from XI century till XX), but also mosques and ancient cities from the time of Alexander the Great. You will have an  unforgettable experience. once in a lifetime

Day 1 – Skopje
“Welcome to Macedonia” we will be waiting for your arrival at Skopje. Together we will depart for your hotel and you will have time for accommodation. We will take you to a  walking tour through The Old Bazaar. Dinner in a national restaurant.

Day 2 – Skopje – Tetovo – Mavrovo
Breakfast in your hotel. We will visit the monastery “St. Andrew” (17 km), build by Andrew - brother of King Marko in 1388/9 . Except the monastery we may see the artificial lake Matka and the river Treska where a canoe competition takes place. Our next destination is the monastery Lesok (40 km) where we will see the churches “St. Atanasius” from the XIVth century and “The Holy Mother” reconstructed in 2001. In the courtyard we will see the grave of Macedonian revival from XIX century Kiril Pejcinovic. Lunch in the monastery restaurant. Our next place of interest is the decorated Mosque (5 km) which delights with its external decoration. We will continue our trip to Mavrovo (50 km), one of the three national parks. Accommodation in a hotel. Dinner.

Day 3 – Mavrovo – St. John At Bigor – Struga – Ohrid
Breakfast in the hotel. We leave the hotel and continue our trip. Next destination is the monastery “St. John At Bigor” (27 km) with its one of the most beautiful iconostasis in Macedonia. After this we travel alongside Lake Debar Then we will visit the magnificent Vevcani springs (60 km). Lunch in a restaurant in Vevcani. After that we will visit the church “The Holy Mother” in Kaliste (15 km) which is constructed partially in a cave. A visit of Struga (4 km) - the home town of poets Miladinovci from the XIXth century and we will visit their museum. We will see the bridge of river Drim where “Struga’s nights in poetry” manifestation takes place every year. Accommodation in a hotel in Ohrid (14 km). Dinner in a restaurant.

Day 4 – Ohrid
Breakfast in the hotel. We are going to visit the old town in Ohrid. In this walking tour we will visit the church of “The Holy Virgin Peribleptos” from 1295 year. A gallery of icons, the antique amphitheatre and the Samuel’s Fortress where was the center of medieval Macedonian state are our next places of interest. Then we will visit “St. Pantalejmon” built by St. Clement in the X century and fully reconstructed in 2002. Our next stop is the small church of “St. John the Theologian – Kaneo” which has the best view over the Lake Ohrid. The cathedral church “St. Sophia” is our next sightseeing. It was the center of Ohrid patriarchy from XI century. After this exploring through ancient and medieval history of Ohrid we will have lunch in a restaurant.  Then you will have free time for exploring Ohrid’s old part and old crafts. At night we will have dinner in a restaurant.

Day 5 – Ohrid – Kurbinovo – Brajcino – Bitola
Breakfast in the hotel. We will take a trip to the monastery of  “St. Naum” (27 km) built by St. Naum at the end of  the IX century and buried there in the X century. The monastery itself is very famous by its wooden iconostas made in 1711 year. Lunch in the monastery restaurant. Next sightseeing is the church “St George” (80 km) from 1191 in Kurbinovo,  representing the master piece of Byzantine art especially the fresco “Annunciation”. Our trip goes on to the village Brajcino (15 km) - an ethno village. Next stop is Bitola (30 km).  Accommodation  in a hotel. Dinner in a national restaurant.

Day 6 – Bitola – Krusevo
Breakfast in the hotel. Our next place of interest is the ancient city of Heraklea, founded from Macedonian king Philip II in IV century B.C. where we will see some remarkable floor mosaics. Then we will visit the city museum in Bitola and memory chamber consecrated to Kemal Mustafa Ataturk - the founder of modern Turkey. After that we will visit the cathedral church in Bitola “St. Demetrius”.  Lunch in a restaurant. You will have free time for shopping and coffee at the main street Sirok Sokak where many European country had their consulates in the XIX century. After free activities we departure for Krusevo and we will make our accommodation in a hotel. Dinner in a restaurant.

Day 7 – Krusevo – Prilep
Breakfast in the hotel. We will visit Krusevo, town with the most altitude sea level in the Balkan with 1250 meters and the birthplace of one of biggest singers on the Balkan Tose Proeski. We will go on the hill above Krusevo and visit the monument “Makedonium” where the tomb of Nikola Karev – the president of the first republic on the Balcan is located, Krusevo Republic from 1903. Visit of the city center in Krusevo and the church “St.Nikola”. We will have lunch in a  restaurant. We continue our trip to Prilep. There we will visit the church “Holy Archangels”  where we will see frescoes from Macedonian rulers from  the XIV century, Volkasin and Marko and then we will see the fortress Markovi Kuli. After that we will have accommodation in a hotel. Dinner in a restaurant.

Day 8 – Prilep – Stobi – Veles
Breakfast in the hotel. We will have a  walking tour in the city center of Prilep, city of tobacco and marble. We will see old bazaar and Clock tower from 1885. After that our trip continues to Kavadarci and there we will have lunch. After the break, we will visit the largest ancient city in Macedonia, Stobi. We continue with our journey and stop is Veles. We will visit the church “St. Pantaleimon” built by Andrej Damjanov, one of the biggest Balkan builders. Accommodation in a hotel. We will have dinner in a restaurant.

Day 9 – Veles – Skopje
Breakfast in the hotel. Free time for individual shopping. Departure
to Skopje.
